The McWhirter Investigation Group was founded by James McWhirter, a former Forensic Auditor and Special Agent for the Department of Defense with over 30 years of forensic auditing and investigative experience. The Group consists of former Special Agents and Forensic Auditors with decades of experience in investigating criminal and civil white collar fraud. The Group has extensive domestic and international experience in investigating matters involving public corruption (bribery and kickbacks); money laundering; embezzlement; defective products; counterfeit products; healthcare fraud; Anti Trust Act violations; False Claims Act violations; Arms Export Control Act violations and other violations of federal, state and military law.
James McWhirter began his Federal Government career as an auditor with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) auditing U.S. Department of Defense contractors ranging from small proprietorships to Fortune 100 corporations. Mr. McWhirter transitioned to a Special Agent conducting domestic and international criminal, civil and administrative investigation, including several high profile investigations. Mr. McWhirter retired as the Assistant Special Agent in Charge with the Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS), Western Field Office, where he was responsible for the oversight of six offices in the Western United States.
